Man United fans respond to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s ‘shameless’ comments as Erik ten Hag comparison made

Of the two managers, it’s safe to say that Mikel Arteta’s time at Arsenal has been a lot more fruitful than Erik ten Hag’s at Manchester United.

Ten Hag was axed by Man United after their project simply became untenable under the Dutchman, whereas Arteta is still going strong at Arsenal.

Appointed in 2019, Arteta has now overseen 255 matches as Arsenal boss, a per🔥iod in which the Gunners have seriously improved.

Before the Spaniard arrived from Manchester City, where he was Pep Guardiola’s second-hand man, Arsenal were nowhere near compꦉetin♋g for a Premier League title.

Now, with Arsenal dropping points of late, it’s seen as a travesty if t🍸hey are not up amongst it – standards have shif♊ted.

Man United fans slam Mikel Arteta for repeating Erik ten Hag’s trophy comments

That bei🧸ng said, Arteta is now being held in the ౠsame breath as Ten Hag for some ‘shameless’ comments he made about his trophy wins at Arsenal thus far.

Ten Hag was often mocked for how he pointed out how suꦗccessful he had been at Old Trafford because his side lifted the EFL Cup and the FA Cup amid some seriously disappointing league form.

Now, Arteta disagreed with a reporter who mentioned that he had won only one trophy by saying: “We won the 🤡Charity Shield twice, no? So we’ve won three trophies.”

United fans🌱 in particul🌠ar took their chance to mock Arteta on X, saying he’s just as bad as Ten Hag.

One wrote: “ꦉArteta dropping comments like Ten Hag. Arsenal fans will be going through that pain I went through every time Ten Hag dropped those comments.”

Another repl🍒ied to𝔉 the comments and said: “This is Erik Ten Hag, I give Arteta 6 months.”

Some even just then realised that Teꦗn Hag had actually won more trophies than Arteta in England anyway, a record that was met with equal bemusement.

🍰“Art💎eta is really trying to not be behind Ten Hag’s 2 trophy tally..”

And then there were also a few Arsenal fans who were pleading൲ with their manager not to mimic Ten Hag, who ultimately had an unsuccessful time at Old Trafford.

“Pl🎉ease Arteta, don’t wear Ten Hag’s shameless shirt.”

And for good measure, Piers Morgan also weighed in on theꦕ comments himself.

Time for Arteta to deliver the trophies that Arsenal deserve

Following last weekend’s draw against Everton, Arteta was criticised for a strange decision𝔉 in that game – a tough few weeks for the Ars🌺enal boss.

But neither Arteta or anyone at Arsenal will be panicking right now, even if opposition൩ fans on X are predicting a downfall for their rivals.

As mentioned, Arsenal have come so far under Arteta and the Spaniard only de꧟serves praise, n🃏ot derision.

It’s impossible to ไcompare how much Arteta has progressed Arsenal in comparison to Ten Hag at United, a team who Ruben Amorim is now looking to fix.

But it is clear that Arteta is feeling the pressure of his own success somewhat – he needs to soon deliver a trophy tha𒐪t his team’s foot🔯ball deserves.
