Man City fans say there’s a Tottenham player they would absolutely love to sign after 1-0 win

As Manchester City beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 on Wednesday, both sets of players managed to impress.

Peter Crouch lauded Erling Haa𒐪land’s display against T💝ottenham as the former Spurs striker felt the Norwegian international was “th🌸e difference” between both sides.

For the Lilywhites, Ange Postecoglou was full of praise foᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚr Wilson Odober💝t who looked lively out on the left-wing during the second half in particular ag♈ainst City.

But after a closely-fought affair, Manchester City will be delighted that Haaland’s goal meant they managed to secure the all-important three points a♛nd leapfrog Chelsea in fourth place in the Premier League.

However, Pep Guardiola will not need any reminding about the fact that had Tottenham taken some of the chances they created in the 🍌second half, they would have won the contest.

Manchester City fans will also be mindful of this being the case but as they celebrate their latest victory, a number of them also claimed that Djed Spence would be the perfect signing for them.

Man City fans think Tottenham star Djed Spence would be the perfect signing

One M🌄anchester City fan highlighted the number of reasons why the Sky Blues should make a move for Spence from Tottenham, writing: “6ft tall, English (homegrown), versatile across bꦓoth flanks, explosive ball carrier with blistering pace, physically imposing, defensively competent — long strides aid recovery. Should be on our list of targets as well.”

Another City fan added that while Spence would be a brilliant addition to their squad, he would cost an arm and a leg: “He’s a player we should have signed before Spurs stepped in. Then when he was out of favour with the previous♋ management, w▨e could have got a bargain. He has been Spurs’ best player this season, he’s an athlete and his game is so versatile. Cost a fortune now though.”

Ange Postecoglou has called Spence “outstanding” as he continues to get better and better as a third Manchester City supporter claimed he would be the ideal replacement f꧑or Kyle Walker: “This guy is so talented, I swear he would be the ideal Walker rep🦄lacement. His pace is unbelievable.”

A fourth Manchester City fan claimed that at the very least, the recruitment team at the Etihad Stadium should at least discover how much the Englishman would cost if they tried to sign him: “Spence very much caught my eye today too – his size, physicality, strides were all impressive, plus heও just seemed to move smoothly. Should definitely check up on his price tag at least.”

A fifth Manchester City fan posted a poll that included the right-backs they should sign, which included Spence while also replying to a Tottenham supporter asꦇked:🎃 “You gave us Walker, we gave you [Pedro] Porro, why are you being stingy now?”

Finally, sixth City fan stated that Spence — who Dejan Kulusevski hailed has been a player he has always had his eye on: “I’ve been saying this [Manchester City should sign Spence], h✃is ceiling is so high.”

What Pep Guardiola said to Spence after Tottenham vs Man City

After the contest, Pep Guardiola was spotted giving a piece of advice to Spence. The Catalan🔴 tactician 🌜has a habit of doing so, famously having an impassioned chat with former Southampton winger Nathan Redmond in the 2016/2017 season as well.

In his post-match press conference, Guardiola revealed♈ that he advised Spꦜence to be calmer and not run as much all the time.

Pep Guardiola said via HaytersTV: “Why do you run too much? You should be more calm’. [Destiny] Udogie is quite similar, the pace of this team is difficult to… Maybe Liverpool, but they are unbelievable, u🍸nbearable, and every time they have the ball and run, they’re unstoppable; Spence, Pedro P🍰orro, Udogie, [Dejan] Kulusevski, [Heung-min] Son.”

“It’s an incredibly physical team with a clea⛄r idea, they play really good. They played without [Cristian] Romeo and [Micky] van de Ven; two of the best central defenders in the league.”

Pep Guardiola highlighted Spence 🀅after Manchester City’s victory as 🎃being one of the players who makes this Tottenham squad one of the best in terms of sheer depth he has ever seen.

With Guardiola seemingly impressed by the former Nottingham Forest full-back, i🧔t will be interesting to see if Manchester City listen to their fans and make a move for him in the summer.
