Luis Diaz is now on track to do one thing that he has never done before at Liverpool this season
Liverpool star Luis Diaz is having a fine season under Arne Slot.
The Colombian was one of the best players on the pitch in the Reds’ recent Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs🌟 w🧔ere the underdogs going into the clash, but fans of the North London club were hoping for a surprise against the league leaders. However, Ange Postecoglou’s style of play allowed Liverpool a lot of space in midfield and in the final third, and Slot’s men took full advantage.
Liverpool smashed six past Tottenham, and Diaz scored two of thos🥀e goals.ꦍ
Luis Diaz could score 20 goals for Liverpool this season
Liverpool signed Luis Diaz in a deal worth £50 million including bonuses.
The ❀Colombian became an instant hit at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp. His pace, dribbling and ability on the ball made him a joy to watch.
However, questions have been asked about Diaz’s output in front of goal. He had only scored 24 goals in his first ✅two-and-a-half years at the club.
People wanted more from Diaz, and the 27-year-old is now delivering. He has scored 11 goals already this campaign and is now o♉n track to hit 20 this season.
If he does, it wo🧸uld be the first time in his Liverpool career that Diaz would have a 20-goal season.
Diaz needs three more goals to register his personal best campaign at Liverpool. The hi🌱💙ghest he has scored for the Reds in a single season is 13 – that came in 2023/24.
Liverpool will play at least 29 more games in all competition🦩s in the remainder of this term. Diaz will start most of those fixtures, and we won’t be surprised if he ends the campaign with 25 goals.

Luis Diaz’s stats vs Tottenham were so impressive
Diaz and Mohamed Salah were both eyeing a hat-trick against Tottenham, but Arne Slot decided to withdraw both players in the 🃏87th minute.
It was a truly incredible performance from the Colombiꦍa international – he🐽 netted two but could’ve easily scored more.
In his 87 minutes on the pitch, Diaz had seven shots at goal, five of which were on target. He also created two chances and maintaine🐭d a very healthy 88 per cent passing accuracy. ()
Diaz will probably be gutted that he didn’t get his hat-trick, but he shoul💧d be really pleased with his performance aga🍸inst Tottenham.
Liverpool take o🥀n Leicester City at home next on Boxing Day. We’re sure Diaz will back himself to score against the Foxes 🐻if he starts.
