Lucas Bergvall and Will Lankshear left absolutely delighted by news that has just emerged from Tottenham
After sealing a deal for Dominic Solanke on Saturday, all is feeling very positive at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Ange Postecoglou beginning another Premier League season.
Spurs won’t be deterred by back-to-back defeats against Bayern Munich, believing that Solanke will make a significant difference when he’s fit to start.
And judging by Postecoglou’s words, that’s likely to be immediately when Tottenham travel to face Jamie Vardy and Leicester City next Monday.
Perhaps Archie Gray will also hope for a starting role, perhaps playing alongside Yves Bissouma in midfield.
But it seems as if Postecoglou will ease Gray in slowly at Tottenham, removing some of the pressure the 18-year-old could face immediately.
That being said, Solanke’s arrival in north London isn’t the only bit of good news that’s emerged in the last few days.
And as well as securing the services of new goal-scorer, Tottenham have also tied down one of Europe’s best young talents to a new contract, 17-year-old Mikey Moore.
Moore signed his first professional contract with Spurs, a three-year deal which is the maximum length under Fifa rules for under-18 players.
Mikey Moore signs new three-year Tottenham contract after Chelsea interest
Chelsea were said to be interested in Moore, but there never seemed to be any doubt that the youngster would leave.
Postecoglou has been talking up Moore after his impressive performances in pre-season, who should be set for something of a first-team role this season.

And after signing his new contract, Moore took to to celebrate with his Spurs teammates and fans.
The youngster uploaded a photo of himself signing his contract alongside a caption saying: “So proud to sign my first professional contract at this club, thank you to everyone who’s helped me get to this point.”
As you’d expect, a host of Tottenham youngsters replied in the comments, all so happy to see their popular teammate staying for good.
Lucas Bergvall, Will Lankshear and Jamie Donley were all among the replies, three other exceptional young players.

It was recently reported that Tottenham were willing to loan Bergvall out this season, a decision that would be met by a lot of derision if it proved true.
But perhaps at 17-years-old, it wouldn’t be a bad call for Moore to head out to the EFL on a temporary basis to build his game, a youngster with so much potential.
