Liverpool fans say Richard Hughes has pulled off another masterstroke alongside Jeremie Frimpong move
Liverpool have quickly wrapped up their first signing of the summer transfer window by bringing Jeremie Frimpong to Anfield.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold set to leave Liverpool early so he can join Real Madrid in June, the Reds have quickly moved for his replacement.
Liverpool have now signed Frimpong, reportedly paying Leverkusen €35million (£29.5million) to sign the Netherlands international on a five-year contract.
And Frimpong’s move to Anfield is not the only thing that has got Liverpool fans buzzing over the past 24 hours or so.

Liverpool fans wowed by multimillion fee for Trent Alexander-Arnold to join Real Madrid a month early
Liverpool fans expressed delight with reports claiming the Reds are set to receive at least £8.5million for letting Alexander-Arnold leave early.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Real Madrid will pay €10million (£8.5million) to ensure the player’s availability for the Club World Cup.
Other reports have claimed that Liverpool would be getting £10million from the Bernabeu outfit.
One fan wrote on X: “£10m agreed with Madrid for early release of TAA!! Edwards & Hughes literally are geniuses!”
Another said: “Richard Hughes… I am really sorry… I wasn’t familiar with your game.”
The praise kept coming, with one fan writing: “Again smart tactics from Richard Hughes & Michael Edwards.
“We need to pay about 12 million per year for Frimpong. So his 1st year is almost free considering we get 10 million for Trent.”
Another fan said: “Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards played a blinder: Bradley re-signed and Frimpong in while picking up £10m shifts the tone completely.”
Another Liverpool fan wrote: “Trent’s paid for the first year of Frimpong tears in my eyes Richard Hughes I was NOT familiar with your game.”

Who Liverpool could sign next after Jeremie Frimpong
Liverpool appear to just be getting started after signing Frimpong.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey recently spoke of a “huge summer” on the transfer front for Liverpool.
Liverpool are currently in talks over Florian Wirtz and, while they’re progressing, Romano suggested that they could take some time.
However, Romano claimed that Liverpool’s talks with Bournemouth over Milos Kerkez could soon pick up pace.
By the sounds of it, there’s a good chance Kerkez could be next in through the doors at Anfield.
