Liverpool fans say Arne Slot made a ‘terrible’ decision in Aston Villa draw

Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Villa in Wednesday night’s Premier League clash at Villa Park.

Mohamed💫꧒ Salah opened the scoring in the 29th minute, firing home following good work from Diogo Jota.

However, Youri Tielemans equalised on 38 minutes when Liverpool failed to clear their lines from Aston Villa’s free-kick.

Ollie Watkins then put 💛Villa ahead in first-half injury time when he headed home from Lucas Digne’s cross from the left.

Trent Alexander-Arnold equalised f🌠or Liverpool in the 61st minute after exchanging passes with Salah before firing in off Tyrone Mings.

Liverpool had to settle for a share of the spoils and some Reds fans felt manager Arne Slot made a rare bad decision in the match.

Liverpool fans didn’t want Trent Alexander-Arnold taken off against Aston Villa

Liverpool fans felt Slot should not have taken Alexander-Arnold off in ♕the 66th minute, as he had been playing so well.

One fanꦯ wrote on X: “Slot bringing off Trent is a terrible decision imo, been literally one of our bꦦest players.”

Another 📖said: “A♎rne Slot what the hell you are doing you taking off our best player today TAA.”

The criticism kept coming𝓀, with one fan writing: “Trent off for Bradley. Seriously. He’s been ꦦour best threat going forward. Bewildered!”

Another said: “Of all the games you take Trent off? I think this is the one he’𝐆s played the best in.”

Another wrote: “Subbing off Trent is a wrong choice fo𓆏r me, one of his♔ best performances this season.”

And another said: “Subs today were a shambles.

“Brought Diaz on too late, Nunez slowed our attack down and Trent was one of our best players today although just back from injury, but got subbed off for Bradle🀅y.”

How Trent Alexander-Arnold fared against Aston Villa

Alexander-Arnold was in great form against Villa. Not only did✃ he score, but he also chipped in with a number of clearances and one tackle.
