Liverpool fans are all making the same point about Sepp van den Berg in win over Brentford

Liverpool left it late to claim a 2-0 victory over Brentford in Saturday’s Premier League encounter at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Reds dominated possession in West Lon๊don and weighed in with over 35 efforts, eventually breaking the deadlock in injury time.

Darwin Nunez tapped i🅺n from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s square ball into the six-yard🥀 box after one minute of stoppage time.

Nunez then slammed home just two minutes later following a counter-attack led by Harvey Elliott to wrap up all three points for Liverpool.

Sepp van den Berg, who was on Liverpool’s books for five years, was one of the Brentford defenders who helpeꦏd thwart the Reds for much of the game.

Why Liverpool sold Sepp van den Berg

Arne Slot explained last August – shorꦚtly before 𝕴Liverpool’s home meeting with Brentford – why he opted to sell Van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho.

“I think they brought in two really talented and good players,” he told reporters♏ on Friday.

“Then you could ask yourse🐷lf the question, ‘why did they leave?’.

“The both of them played a lot of minutes l💖ast season and I think the both of them wanted to continue that journey𝔉 of playing time.

“I think they were able🐷 to play for us, b✨ut there is so much competition in the positions that they play that they wouldn’t play every minute of every single game.

“Then it’s a good deal. A really good deal for us and I think it’s a good deal for B🃏rentford and it’s also a good deal for the players.

“So everybody’s happy, unless they do too well on Sಞunday!”
