Liam Cooper asked if he knows whether he’ll start Leeds clash

Liam Cooper has admitted that he currently has no idea whether he will return to Leeds United’s starting lineup this weekend, .

♔Cooper has not started for Leeds since the 1-0 win over West Brom at the start of the month. He limped out of that game during the first-half, and only made his return in last week’s draw at Sheffield Wednesday.

🐎The Scotland international featured for the under-23s this week. And it would be no surprise if many of the supporters were hoping to see him start against Queens Park Rangers this weekend.

♌But Cooper suggested that he is yet to find out what involvement he will have on Saturday.

▨“No, no, I’ve not got a clue,” he replied, , when asked whether he knows whether he will start. “The manager will pick his team and I’m sure we’ll have more of an idea tomorrow of what the team will be.

🃏“Obviously, there’s a couple of knocks from the heavy schedule over the last couple of weeks but I’m sure we’ll know more tomorrow as a team and we’ll be working on getting a win on Saturday.”

ಌIn his absence, Leeds have done well defensively. They have conceded one goal in their last three games, with Ben White continuing his outstanding form. Gaetano Berardi has also done well, particularly after he faced some criticism following the defeat at Millwall.

ಌNevertheless, having Cooper back could be a massive boost. His partnership with White has been fantastic – Leeds boast the best defensive record in the division.

🧸Marcelo Bielsa may be reluctant to rest Berardi. But the majority of the Elland Road faithful will surely be hoping that it is Cooper who lines up alongside White now that he is back.
