Lewis Bate joins Leeds: Billy Gilmour and Drinkwater react

Billy Gilmour and Danny Drinkwater were amongst those to reply to Lewis Bate after the midfielder took to Instagram following the announcement that he has joined Leeds United.

𓄧Bate has become the Whites’ fifth signing of the summer. , he has signed a three-year deal at Elland Road.

It looks to be a real coup for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. Recent reports noted that Bate was offered fresh terms by Chelsea.

𒐪He was also being pursued by a number of Premier League rivals, including West Ham, Liverpool and Southampton.

ꦦBut Leeds have now confirmed that they have won the race.

𓂃Bate is set to initially join up with Mark Jackson’s under-23s. But having left the Blues in search of first-team football, perhaps it may not be too long before he is knocking on Bielsa’s door.

꧋Obviously, it was a tough decision for Bate to leave Stamford Bridge. The 18-year-old spent 10 years with the club.

🐈And amongst those to reply were Gilmour and Drinkwater. Gilmour wished him well, as did Drinkwater.
