Leny Yoro says the exact same thing about Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, Man Utd fans should be excited
Leny Yoro has given his verdict on Manchester United summer signing Matheus Cunha, as well as Bryan Mbeumo, who looks set to join the Red Devils imminently.
Matheus Cunha joined United for £62.5m from Wolves last month, with Ruben Amorim desperate to bolster his attacking options after a lacklustre 24/25 campaign in front of goal.
But securing the Brazilian’s signature wasn’t enough. United then turned attention to Brentford’s talisman, Bryan Mbeumo, who is now Old Trafford-bound, with Mbeumo’s medical taking place this weekend.

Two very exciting signings for Manchester United fans, something defender Leny Yoro has also had his say on.
Leny Yoro on Bryan Mbeumo
Despite Mbeumo’s announcement not being official as of yet, Yoro let slip that the Cameroonian is coming to Old Trafford post-match after a 0-0 draw with Leeds United.
Speaking in the mixed zone to the after the game, Yoro said: “Bryan is a very good player, and I am very happy that he is coming to us.
“That’s my guy, and I am waiting for him now. It has taken some time, but he is here now.”
Everyone who has spoken about the winger gives glowing reviews. Manchester United liked Mbeumo not just for his footballing ability, but also for his character.
This is also something Matheus Cunha has in abundance.

Leny Yoro on Matheus Cunha
Yoro also spoke glowingly about Cunha post-match, with the 26-year-old debuting for United in Sweden.
“Of course, I think everyone sees the level of Cunha, especially last season,” Yoro told the United View when asked his thoughts on Amorim’s latest acquisition.
“He’s a really good player, I think he’s going to bring good things to the team, even in the dressing room, he’s a really good guy.
“We need some guys like this, you know, we need some technical [players] working in the team. I think we’re going to enjoy playing with him this season.”
Manchester United signing good players with the right attitude
It’s no dispute that United have had a significant number of problems off the pitch as well as on over the last few years.
A number of problematic figures have emerged, and since departed United, which has led to a strategy moving forward of signing the right profiles.
If Yoro is correct, Mbeumo and Cunha both fit the bill here. Two ‘very good’ players, who also will integrate into the culture of the club.
Player | Team | Matches | Goals | Assists |
---|---|---|---|---|
Bryan Mbeumo | Brentford | 38 | 20 | 7 |
Matheus Cunha | Wolverhampton Wanderers | 31 | 15 | 7 |
Granted, Cunha can be a hothead at times, but this shows passion, and as long as that hotheadedness isn’t directed towards his teammates, he’ll be a gem.
Manchester United fans should be massively excited about these two. Fantastic signings.
