Leicester City are now trying to sign ‘unbelievable’ midfielder from Tottenham before deadline day

Tottenham Hotspur get their 2024/25 campaign up and running on Monday night with a trip to the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City will be playing the🅷ir first game back in the Premier League after wi🐷nning the Championship following their relegation in the 2022/23 season.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side have enjoyed a positive pꦜre-season which has ▨seen some of the club’s young stars really shine.

Tottenham have now w💖elcomed five new faces intꦗo the club this summer with Wilson Odobert marking the latest addition.

However, the summer in the market has been dominate🦩d by player departures with the Lilywhites hav🔜ing seen 12 players now leave the club.

Not all of those hav✨e been sales with the likes of Jamie D𒁏onley departing on loan to Leyton Orient.

But it now seems as if Leicester City are looking to sign one Tottenham player whose future at the 💯club is up for debate.

Leicester City want to sign Tottenham midfielder

Spurs remain active in the window with Totte♋nham believed to be preparing a £27m bid for Monaco defender Vanderson.

But there are still a ♍number of players who could le♏ave before the deadline at the end of the month.

And a🧜ccording to journalist Tom Barclay, there is one midfieꦫlder who Leicester are keen to take off Tottenham’s hands.

It is believed Leicester are now trying to get a deal completed for Oliver Skipp ahead of the deadline.

The Englishman is part of a bloated midfield department at Hotspur Way with his opportunities in the new campaign🐬 potentially extremely limite🎶d.

Skipp was offered to W𓆉olves in part💖 exchange for Pedro Neto earlier in the summer but❀ the Wanderers preferred Chelsea’s cash on🦂ly offer.

But the midfielder has remained at the club and has featured – sometimes at centre-back – for Postecoglou across p🐻re-season.

Tottenham need to offload Oliver Skipp this summer

A product of the Tottenham academy, Skipp did look to be a real talent during his loan spell with No𒁃rwich City in🐟 the Championship.

However, having retu𝓡rned to Spurs, the 23-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the 🐓Tottenham starting XI.

Skipp may have previously been hailed as ‘unbelievable‘ but five starts💙 in the Premier League last season is just not enough for the midfielder to develop.

A move away from Tot🌳tenham looks to be the best option for all parties this summer and Skipp could link up with his former teammate in Harry Winks at the King Power.
