Leeds United should try and sign a former £52m striker this summer if he becomes a free agent in June.

Leeds are prep🌳aring to face Norwich City in a two-legged Championship play-off semi-final after seeing Leicester City and Ipswich Town take the automatic promotion spots.

Daniel Farke’s men have been in poor form since the March international break and must quickly get back in gear🎉 ahead of Sunday’s trip to Carrow Road.

Transfer business is currently on hold but if they are to gain promotion back to the Premier Leಞague, here is one player they should be targeting.

Leeds United should reignite interest in Luka Jovic

Luka Jovic was once dubbed a and after impressing at Eintracht Frankfurt he 𝕴earned a move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2019.

Three goal꧅s in 51 appearances for Madrid saw his stock fall dramatically and he is now playing his trade in Serie A with Milan.

The 2ꦡ6-year-old striker has netted a commendable nine goals in 28 appearances this season, though, it seems he’ll be leaving on a free transfer at the end of his contract in June.

This is where Leeds come into the equation, as if the💮y are to gain promotion, it’s a player they could look to bring in.🌱

Luka Jovic would be perfect for Daniel Farke

It’s become pretty evident throughout the season that Leeds will need to sign a striker this summer, as Joel Pi💙roe just simply hasn’t⛦ delivered.

The summer signing doesn’t fit Farke’s system, though, Jovic certainly would and the German boss could help to bring the best o🍌ut of him.

Jovic isn’t too dissimilar to Teemu Pukki profile-wise in the sense that he’s mobile and a willing runner in behind. The pair are excellent link-up players too. Indeed, Pu🧸kki was prolific under Farke.

If the Serbia international can rediscovᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚer his Fra🅰nkfurt form, Leeds could secure one of the bargains of the window on a free.
