Leeds United now close to signing ‘astonishing’ 24-year-old player

Leeds United are reportedly closing on the signing of Sint-Truiden defender and Japanese international Daiki Hashioka.

🦄The Whites have been decimated in the right-back position this January after Tottenham’s surprise recall of Djed Spence with Luke Ayling leaving on loan for Middlesbrough for the remainder of the season.

ꦺWith Daniel Farke short of options in the defence, Leeds have been on a search for a new permanent right-back, and it now appears that the Elland Road side have found their man.

🐈, Leeds are close to reaching a full agreement to sign Hashioka, with the 24-year-old preferring a move to England despite interest from German clubs.

ꦿ, Leeds might have just stumbled onto a bargain this January as Farke looks to add fuel to the Whites’ promotion charge.

💖Indeed, beating German clubs to Hashioka’s signature is quite the coup for the Yorkshire giants, and the Japanese fullback could be instrumental in the coming weeks in getting Leeds back into the Premier League.

ꦅA seven-cap Japan international and only 24-years-old, there’s a lot to like already when it comes to Hashioka, especially with Leeds in the market for a right-back.

꧟With Spence and Ayling leaving this winter, Leeds had to address the position in a big way, and signing Hashioka could do just that and then some for the Elland Road side.

♑Two goals and two assists already this campaign is a decent tally for a right-back, and Hashioka could see these numbers explode in the Championship at Leeds.

ဣMoreover, Farke’s style of play could be well-suited for Hashioka, with the Championship a division that might just be perfect for the defender’s complete overall game, making the fullback a true bargain signing.
