Leeds United could solve conundrum with move for 2018 target Nick Powell

Leeds United are flying high in the Championship and are finely poised to get over their promotion heartache of last season.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are second in the division and are 10 points clear of Preston ꦆNorth End in third.

With January on the horizon, Leeds may look to add to their squad as they go i🌳n pursuit of the Championship title.

One man who might be available next month is former Leeds 𝓰target, Nick Powell.

The attacking midfielder only signed for Stoke in the summer. Michael O’Neill has been tasked with trimming the wage bill, however, and Powell migh𝄹t be on the move .

Iജn August 2018, the Whites were linked with a move for the ex-Manchester United man and they might be wise to꧂ pounce again .

It’s a fair suggestion that Leeds would welcome another pla💖yer who can occupyꦡ the number 10 position.

Adam Forshaw, Jamie Shackleton and Tyler Roberts are all nursing injuries and oꦡptions are slowly dwindling.

Shrewd

With Stoke likely to be keen to shift Powell’s wages off the books𒐪, he might not cost a fortune.

If Leeds🐷 could land Powell on the cheap he co𓃲uld prove a shrewd January addition for the Whites.

The 25-year-old has only started three matches this season and he doesn’t seem overly popular in the eyes of new ཧboss O’Neill.

Powell is a solid Championship performer though. Last season at Wigan he netted eigꦑht goals and registered seven assists from his 32 appearances.

Given his age, there is still scope for Powell to improve and he could complement Leeds’ style under ♉Bielsa nicely.

A real handful on his day, the White🥃s could do a lot worse t🦋han to go back in for the Stoke man during the January window.
