Leeds fans react on Twitter to Liam Cooper display vs Watford
A number⭕ of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Liam Cooper and his performance after the Whites beat Watford on Saturday.
What’s the story?
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have their first Premier League win of the season. They beat Watford 1-0 with Diego Llorente scoring during the first-hal🐻f.

In truth, L𝓡eeds had superb performers all over the pitch. Both Junior Firpo and Dan James produced arguably their best displays y🦂et for the Whites.
Llorente made a brilliantღ return to the side. And Jamie Shackleton continues to put preౠssure on Luke Ayling for the right-back role.
But many felt that Cooper produced one of the best performances 🔜on show against the Hornets.
, no player completed a greater number of successful passes෴ than the 30-year-old.

Meanwhile, he was not beaten by a single Watford 🎃player all afternoon. He also won one tackle and made two clearances.
Of course, you could certainly argue that heꦚ was fortunate to win the foul that saw Watford have a 🌟goal disallowed.
But Leeds fans will respond by sugges🏅ting that they should have had a penalty during the first-half, with James being brought down.
Cooper is facing a difficult task trying to keep his place in the Leeds team. When Bielsa has every centre-back fit, the skipper would certai🥀nly not get in everyone’s teams.
In fact, it is surely fair to say th🔜at the pairing of Llorente and Pascal Struijk was Leeds’ best partnership last season.
‘Class today’: Leeds fans laud Liam Cooper after Watford win
But Cooper is silencing all of his doubters in emphatic manner. It cou🐻ld certainly be claimed that he has been Leeds’ best defender this season, particularly in the last few games.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Whites fans made of Cooper’s performance against Watfordꦺ…

Thought he was superb again tꦓoday. He gets a lot of unfair stick. Consistently our top performing CB. Hopefully Llorente can stay fit as he is without doubt our best defender but also contributes with his passing. Gr🔴eat vision.
