Leeds fans react as club delivers update on Liam Cooper injury
Liam Cooper suffered another injury on Saturday afternoon as the Leeds United captain limped off in the second half of the 2-1 win over Blackburn Rover♔s – and Leeds fans are concerned after the club’s latest update on the defender.
Cooper, 28, only returned from a groin injury last month – which saw him miss the league game🦄s against Millwall, Birmingham City and Preston. He came on as a sub against Sheffield Wednesday, before starting in the wins over QPR and Blackburn.
However, Cooper has been removed from the S𒆙cotland squad due to the injury, which saw him suffer a similar groin injury and replaced in the 72nd minu🌄te by Gaetano Berardi on Saturday. Leeds kept their impressive home form up with another win.
Leeds posted an update on their official website on Monday morning, confirming that scans have shown Cooper has suffered a small tear in his groin. The update als꧋o states that the club 💞are hopeful he will be fit for the fixtures after the break.
