Leeds fans fuming as giant striker joins Millwall

Colossal stri๐Ÿ…ทker Matt Smith has completed a move from Queens Park Rangers to Millwall, which is his fifth club since joining Leeds United in 2013 โ€“ and Leeds fans are fuming with the target man on Twitter.

Smith, 30, clocked up 102 appearances for QPR since joining the club in Janua๐ŸŒ„ry 2017. He has found the back of the net 23 times and laid on 12 assists, but his style of play brings others into the game โ€“ rather than scoring himself.

The English striker joined Leeds back in 2013 after starring for๊ง‹ League One side Oldham Athletic, where he grew his reputation with goals in the FA Cup. A brace against Liverpool was followed by one against Everton.

It s๐Ÿ’™aw Leeds snap him up and though he went on to๐Ÿ’ play just 48 games for the Whites, he was respected โ€“ perhaps until now, after signing on the dotted line for bitter enemies Millwall. Smith posted on Twitter.

His Leeds exit came on the final day of the 2014 summer window, joining Fulham. He scored just nine goal๐Ÿงธs in three seasons for the Cottagers but a very strong loan spell at Bristol City earned him a move๐Ÿ”œ to QPR.

โœ…Now, he is set to link up with the likes of Millwall boss Neil Harris and Steve Morison, both of whom are not pโ™’articular favourites of the Elland Road faithful. Leeds fans have criticised Smith for joining the London-based side.
