Kyle Walker says Tottenham teammate he only played 23 times with was so ‘underrated’

Kyle Walker has named the Tottenham Hotspur teammate who was amongst the best players he has ever played with in his career, despite the pair only featuring in 23 games together.

Kyle Walker has undoubtedly had a s🅺pecial career, winning six Premier League titles with Manchester City, as well as the Champions League in 2023.

Of course, many may be ex🧔pecting him to pick a number of Manchester City players when asked to name the best he has played with, while he could also include some of those to have played alongside him for England.

But Walker was also part of the Tottenham side which challenged for the🙈 Premier League title under Mauricio Pochettiꩵno.

Kyle Walker says one Tottenham teammate was ‘so underrated’

The 34-year-old was asked on to name the best he has played with, and a number of obvious names cropped up, including Gareth Bale, David Silv🅺a and Kevin De Bruyne.

But there was also a mention for someone who was coming towards the end of theiꦰr Tot🧜tenham career as Walker was breaking into the side.

“I have played with a lot of great players, at Tottenham, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric. I think Ledley Ki💮ng was so u✤nderrated, for [Thierry] Henry to say he was the best player that he’s played against, you have got to be doing something right and for me he is a very underrated player,” he said.

“David was incredible, you would give him a bad pass and he made you look good. The🥀 likes of Kevin go down as one of the best if not the best midfielders in the Premier League. He’s one of them ones, who doesn’t mind giving the ball away, so he will try a 40 yard pass and if it doesn’t succeed, the norm would say I’m notꦚ doing that again he just thinks I’m just going to do it again.”

Manchester City star not the only one amazed by Ledley King

According to , Walker and King actually only ever played 23 games together, so it is says everything that the centre-🦩back has managed to leave that much of an iꦗmpression on Walker.

King probably s💛till ౠdoes not get the full credit that he deserves, but it does seem that many of his peers are more than happy to share how impressive he was.

Rio𒉰 Ferdinand has suggested that he would not have been able to play at the same level King did while dealing with the injury problems he ha🤡d.

It is sad that King never got the chance to realise♓ his full potential and have the career that 🤡his talent deserved.

Clearly, he had the ൲quality to be one of the greatest defenders the Premier League has had.
