Kris Boyd comments on player linked with Rangers and Celtic, compares to Moussa Dembele
Kris Boyd has t🌊old Sky Sports News (Monday, 09.55am) t✅hat Celtic need Stoke City striker Tyrese Campbell more so than Rangers, and compared the deal to the signing of Moussa Dembele.
last week that both Celtic and Rangers were interested in signing Stoke forward Campbell, who has entered the final six months of his💙 contract at The Britannia. The 20-year-old has broken into the Stoke side this season.
An England youth international, Campbell has finally been given a proper run in the Stoke side this season after scori♕ng 28 goals in 48 Under-23 ap🏅pearances for The Potters. Having previously made 10 senior appearances, he has clocked up 21 this term.
Starting only six of his 17 league games this season, Campbell has𓄧 netted four times and that has seen Rangers and𝔉 Celtic turn their heads – only £400,000 required. Boyd was asked if he was a good fit for either side, claiming Celtic need him more.
“Celtic pro♒bably more so. I think Celtic have done it with Dembele. It is a good market, they don’t need to pay♐ inflated prices. You can showcase your skills. He could be the extra attacker Celtic need,” Boyd said.

TBR’s view – Celtic do need him more, but Rangers would be a good move
With Leigh Griffiths struggling to return on a regular basis and Vakoun Issouf Bayo hardly proving the signing Celticಌ had hoped he would be, Neil Lennon will know he needs cove💝r for Odsonne Edouard. Boys is right, then.
Celtic need a striker more and given that Moussa Dembele moved to Celtic from Fulham for a compensat💞ion fee similar to the one required for Campbell🃏, The Hoops could look to replicate such a deal.
However, Rangཧers do need a striker given Alfredo Morelos constantly being linked with a move and his suspension concerns. Jermain Defoe acts as cover, but Rangers could do with Campbe♊ll. Celtic certainly need him more, though.
