Keith Downie has been given the name of attacker Newcastle are trying to sign at last minute this summer
Newcastle United’s summer transfer window is now just a week away from coming to a close in what has been a seriously underwhelming summer.
There has been one signing made to bolster Newcastle‘s outfield this summer in the fo꧒rm of free agent Lloyd Kelly.
Eddie Howe‘s frustrations have been evident at times this summer with the Toon manager sharing his hopes for the club to h𒀰and him some new players.
However, his demands have not provided any returns with𓆏 Paul Mi🌠tchell now scrambling in the market with just one week remaining.
Of course, Newcastle have lodged bids for ♛🤪Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi which are yet to find a real breakthrough.
But th🔥ere is now a name which has b𝔉een provided to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie which Newcastle are now pushing to sign before next week’s deadline.

Newcastle now eyeing specific attacker before deadline day
It really has been a strange transfer window from the Toon who are now left with just one week to actually make a♓ splash in the market.
Their struggles to tie up a deal for Guehi has now seen Newcastle look at🍎 alternative options like Edmond Tapsoba.
However, the right-wing position still needs addressing with Down💯ie having now beꦗen told of one specific target.
Speaking on the Loaded Mag , the Sky Sports reporter said there’s one attacker who Newcastle are♔ trying🐼 to work a deal for.
“I have be﷽en given the name of a right-winger that Newcastle United are looking at doing a deal for,” said Downie.
“Which might be reported over next few days.”
Newcastle have weakened their squad from last season
Coming i🍨nto the summer market, everyone surrounding Newcastle will have been aware they had to battle PSR in June.
That saw Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson so♛ld with mo✅ney needed to be brought through the doors.
However, there have been minimal additions made so far with Kelly’s arrival as a free transfer marking the only real signing made to the New✱castle side.
With t♎his in mind, there could well be a case to be made that Newcastle have actually managed to weaken their squad, as things stand.
