Juventus fans react with Tottenham reportedly looking at striker Morata

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly turn to Alvaro Morata if Harry Kane leaves next summer – and Juventus fans have reacted on Twitter.

Morata, 28, has made a solid start to the 21-22 season. It is the second season-long loan of a two-year temporary spell at Juve from Atletico.

The Spain international, after criticism in the summer at Euro 2020, has three goals in seven outings. In 144 games for Juve, he has 50 goals.

It is similar-ish stats elsewhere. He has solid starts, but he is some way below the top tier of striker – the Harry Kane’s, or Robert Lewandowski.

So it is somewhat of a surprise to see that Fabio Paratici is looking to sign Morata. That is, if Kane decides he wants to leave Tottenham next summer.

What are Tottenham fans saying about Morata, if Kane goes?

Clearly, Morata is some way off Kane. But what might tempt Spurs is his bargain price tag. Juve are unwilling to pay his permanent clause.

That currently stands at just £29.75million, which Juve would need to activate to make Morata a permanent player at the Old Lady.

report that Tottenham are interested, with Paratici making Morata a first priority if Kane leaves the club next summer.

While he is not as good as Kane, less than £30million for a player of Morata’s quality is an opportunity Tottenham cannot miss out on.

Juventus fans have reacted on Twitter to reports that Tottenham want to sign Morata – and many are desperate for Spurs to take him.
