Jurgen Klopp now thinks ‘extraordinary’ 18-year-old defender can replace Joel Matip at Liverpool
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp sees Lille’s Leny Yoro as a potential long-term replacement for Joel Matip.
The Reds, like many other clubs in the Premier League, have had a quiet window. Not much is expected to change over the next week, but if an oppor🐓tunity to sign a new defender arises, Klopp will make a move. Yoro is a pl♍ayer on his radar, claims TeamTalk.

Jurgen Klopp‘s side brought in Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister. All of them have showꦛn th🐓eir quality for the Reds so far.
The focus next will have to be on their defence, with Virgil van Dijk not getting any younger and Joel Matip suffering yet another serious injury that could end his Liverpool career.
The Cameroon international is out of contract in the summer, and TeamTalk claim this week that Klopp s♊ees Lille defender Leny Yoro as a ‘potential long-term replacement’ for Matip.
The France U21 international is still just 18 years old. He is a massive talent and has been linked with moves to plenty of clubs already, including Liverpool and Manchester United.
Yoro’s current contract at Lille expires in the summer of 2025, and the French side’s owners are reportedly demanding a mammoth £78 million to let him go.
