Journalist suggests Tottenham closing in on ‘outstanding’ summer purchase
Tottenham Hotspur on-loan forward Timo Werner has done well at Spurs so far.
During the January transfer window, Tottenham sought to bolster their attacking ranks, and they did so by landing Werner on a loan deal from RB Leipzig.
𒆙Spurs reportedly have a £15million option to buy the Germany international permanently at the end of the season.
So far, Werner has scored and provided two assists in his seven Premier League outings under Ange Postecoglou.
✅Earlier this week, reported that Tottenham are now ‘likely to take advantage of the option’ to turn Werner’s loan into a permanent agreement.
Timo Werner to Tottenham a ‘no-brainer’ and a ‘steal’ for Spurs
Dean Jones🐭, writing in the on Wednesday, has now provided some more information and thoughts about Spurs’ stance towards the 28-year-old.
𝔍The transfer insider believes “it’s hard to see any other decision” except Tottenham buying Werner at this moment in time.
💝Jones also feels it’s a “no-brainer” for Spurs, who would be getting a “steal” in signing Werner for just £15million.

🍬“It’s hard to see any other decision other than for Werner to remain at Spurs after this season,” he wrote.
ꦗ“His option is £15million, and that’s a steal when you consider the quality and experience he can bring to the squad.
🧔“If Spurs qualify for the Champions League, they will need a few heads in that team who know what it takes to manage games and situations. Werner has played over 40 games at that level.
🐼“When you think that Spurs will need to balance out the squad more next season by playing domestically and in Europe and that you can have a player like this for just £15m, it feels like a no-brainer.”
All signs point to Tottenham taking up Timo Werner option to buy – opinion
𒐪Werner is certainly a good shout to bolster Tottenham’s ranks beyond the end of the season.
He is an “outstanding🌌” talent with plenty of quality and experience, including in the Premier League and Champions League.
🐷The fact there’s allegedly a £15million option to buy is, as Jones says, a no-brainer. Spurs would be getting a superb squad option up front, the kind that wouldn’t be surprising to see for £50million-plus.
♒All the signs seem to be pointing to Tottenham and Werner linking up beyond the end of the season, and the player going on Spurs’ books.
