£40m Tottenham and Newcastle midfield target wants to be near London
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window as they look to bolster their ranks.
Spurs have enjoyed a decent enough maiꦕden season under Ange Postecoglou and still have a chance of finishing in the Premier League’s top four.
Meanwhile, the wear and tear of three domestic competitions plus the Champions League has taken its toll on Eddie Howe’s Magpies, who are currently sixth in the table.
Tottenham and Newcastle are currently being linked with one player who has made a huge name for hims𓄧elf this season in particular.
Now, one report from ‘s Dean Jones has suggested that Spurs have a be꧃tter chance of signing him because he seemingly wants to stay in or around London.

The player in question is Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, who continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge despite going from strength to 💮strength in west London.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth recently told that Chelsea could potentially push the England international towards the exit door soon after the seas💯on ends.
This is because the Blues need to sanction🐈 outgoings before June 30 to ensure any funds they re𒁏ceive go into the current year’s accounts, and they can stay on the right side of profit and sustainability rules.
What has Dean Jones said about links between Tottenham, Newcastle and Conor Gallagher?
Jones insists that Gallaꦇgher does not want to leave Chelsea, but if he has to, the prospect of moving far away from his family in London is “not ideal”.
The transfer insider believes Tottenham “could work better” as he wouldn’t have to move away from the city, and he rei☂terated that Spurs are “keen” on the man🔜.
“New links have started between Conor Gallagher and Newcastle, and it does not surprise me they would have interest, but I am not sure how far I would expect that to go,” wrote Jon𒁃♍es.
“Obviously, Gallagher doesn’t want to leave Chelsea. He can’t even think about it at the moment, as far as I’ve heard, because he just doesn’t want it to happওen.
“But if he does leave Chelseaꦚ, I haꩵve heard that him moving that far away from his family would not be ideal.
“I think another club in London could work better, and we know Spurs🎃 are keen and that his hom🦄egrown status would help them.
“It really is still a case of wait and see because if Pochettino does end up staying beyond thisꦺ season, he would be very angry to see Gallagher sold.”

Although Gallagher to Tottenham s꧒eems to be a rumour that has spli♊t the Spurs fanbase, there’s no doubting he is Premier League quality and would be a good shout for the Lilywhites.
At just 24 years of age, he’s already captained Chelsea a🃏nd is very much in the England picture. He’s still nowhere near his prime and Postecoglou would no doubt take him to the next level.
It’s baffling to think Chelsea appear willing to sell Gallagher when neither he nor thꦰe manager want him to leave, but Spurs could at least makꦏe life a bit easier for the player by keeping him in the city.
