John Terry says he’s seen a young player at Chelsea who has the ‘potential to be a genius’

John Terry seems to be really impressed with one player he has watched at Chelsea this season.

🤡The Blues haven’t had a great campaign at all, have they?

Mauricio Pochettino🉐‘s side are currently ninth in the Premier League table, and there is a big chance they will miss out on European football for the second season running.

That is simply not good enough, especially when you consider how much money Todd Boehly has spent since took over the club.

Terry, who is Chelseaꩲ through and through, must be disappointed with his old club, but one player seems to have really impressed him this season.

Chelsea legend John Terry makes claim about Cole Palmer’s potential

Cole Palmer🦄 has been an absolute revelation at Chelsea, hasn’t he?

The 21-year-old only joined the club last summer from Manchester City♔, and even though everyone knew he was a quality player, nobody would’ve expected him to have a season as good as this one.

🗹Palmer has scored 23 goals and provided 13 assists for Chelsea since he joined them.

20 of those goals have come in the Premier League, which has made him the second-highest goalscorer this season – just one behind Erling Haaland. Nobody would’ve predicted that at the start of this season.

🐭Palmer is already a star, but he’s still so young. The 21-year-old has the world at his feet now, and he could go on to become one of the best players on the planet in a few years’ time.

John Terry꧋ played with some superstars during his time at Chelsea, and he knows a good player when he sees one.

ꩲThe Blues legend thinks Palmer has a massive future ahead of him.

♔When Goal asked him to describe Palmer in a few words, Terry replied: “Potential to be a genius!”

Palmer could achieve new feat for Chelsea vs Tottenham tonight

Cole Palmer has broken quite a few records at Chelsea this season, hasn’t he?

𓃲The Englishman, still only 21, has had an amazing season. It’s up there with the best debut campaigns anyone has had in the Premier League in years.

When Tottenham𝔍 come to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea tonight, Palmer could do something that no Chelsea player has done since the 2009/10 season.

If Palmer scores against Tottenham tonight, he will take his goal tally up to 21 in the Premier League. The last player to score more than 20 in a single league campaign was Didier Drogba nearly 14 years ago.

ꦅPalmer picked up a goal and an assist in the reverse fixture back in November, and we won’t be surprised at all if he gets on the score sheet tonight as well.
