Jesse Marsch says 37-year-old PSG player helped get him the sack at Leeds United
Jesse Marsch has had plenty to say about his sacking from Leeds United in recent weeks.
🌟The American spoke openly about his departure from Elland Road on earlier this month, claiming that he thought it was unfair due to the underlying statistics.
Now, speaking on the , Marsch has again spoken about his Leeds sacking, and he’s pointed the finger at Keylor Navas as a player who helped get him the sack.
Indeed, as many will remember, Marsch’sꦜ final game in charge at Leeds was against Nottingham Forest, where Navas was on loan, and he says that the Costa Rican’s incredible performance on that day led to his sacking.

Navas got Marsch the sack
The manager spoke about the 37-year-old.
ꦡ“The latest rumour is that Forest are looking at Keylor Navas, he was there last time around, he wasn’t too great,” The host said.
ꦗ“He ended my Premier League coaching with Leeds, he had a blinder, his best game in years, the best game in years he had that we lost 1-0, I’m certain we should’ve won that game. The first half we outshot them 10-1 and he made three ridiculous saves, Forest shouldn’t even have been in the match,” Marsch said.
Unlucky
💃It has to be said that Leeds were unlucky on that day.
A win against Forest would’ve put Leeds in 13th꧒ place in the Premier League, probably meaning that Marsch’s job would’ve been safe at the time, but, as the American says, Navas was on top form that day.
♐Sometimes, you can’t do anything about an incredible goalkeeping performance, and sadly for Marsch, that was the final nail in his Leeds coffin.
﷽Of course, that wasn’t the only reason he was sacked – the poor run of form the six months prior certainly didn’t help, but as far as must-win games to save your job go, that match against Forest must’ve been incredibly frustrating
