💞Jermain Defoe urged Tottenham Hotspur to make a move for Nathan Ake back in July 2020, and it looks like Spurs are now finally willing to listen to him.

Reports revealed this week🐈 that Spurs are among a number of different Premier League clubs interested in signing the versatile Dutch defender, who joined Manchester City for £41 million in the summer of 2020 ().

𝓡Now, the report claims that Manchester City are open to letting him leave this summer if the right offer lands on their table in the coming weeks.

♈Tottenham are the likes of Chelsea, West Ham, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Newcastle United in the race to sign him.

Back in July 2020, before Manchester City signed Ake, Defoe said on , as quoted by TBR Football꧃: “I would love to see him at Tottenham you know. He’s got so much potential.

🌼“Coming from Chelsea it was difficult to get in the team there. He went to Watford, and Bournemouth paid a big fee for him. He’s technically good, Dutch players always are. Scores a lot of goals from set-pieces, he is really brave which is good.

🌊“One of the nicest guys I’ve met in football, you’d even let him date your sister.

🦋“I would love to see him get to the next level and play in the Champions League. I feel he is that good, I’m sure.”

Nathan Ake is a fantastic player.

💞After not getting a chance to shine at Chelsea, the Dutchman had excellent spells at Watford and Bournemouth. He then secured a big-money move to Manchester City, but he has struggled for game time there.

❀In his two seasons under Pep Guardiola at City, Ake has started just 30 games. That’s not enough at all for a player of his quality, and a move away this summer is the best thing for him, especially with the World Cup coming up at the end of this year.

🍰Tottenham could really do with a player like Ake this summer, but whether Spurs can beat Chelsea to his signature remains to be seen.
