Jeremie Frimpong shares what he really thinks of Anfield as he makes Liverpool admission following £29.5m move
Liverpool have made their first signing of the summer transfer window, signing Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool have moved quickly to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be joining Real Madrid early to play at the Club World Cup.
The Reds have reportedly paid Leverkusen €35million (£29.5million) to sign Frimpong on a five-year contract.
Frimpong has made an admission about what it was like facing Liverpool as a Leverkusen player and also gave his honest verdict on Anfield.

Jeremie Frimpong says Anfield is ‘the best stadium’ he played at
Jeremie Frimpong spoke to the Liverpool as he revealed that he found the Reds “really difficult” to face.
He also described Anfield as the “best stadium” he played in when he was on the books at the Bundesliga side.
“I think this is the best stadium I played in when I was with Leverkusen,” he said.
“The atmosphere, the fans, the team as well. The whole package is great.
“I don’t need to say too much about the quality [of Liverpool]. They won the league.
“For me, playing against Liverpool when I was in Leverkusen, really difficult. Really, really difficult.
“How can I say it? Obviously Leverkusen were still good but you can see that Liverpool is next level.”
Who else Liverpool could sign this summer
Liverpool have struck gold in signing Frimpong, one of the Bundesliga’s best players.
Indeed, Rio Ferdinand recently said he wanted Manchester United to move for Frimpong this summer.
However, Liverpool are unlikely to stop there. Indeed, Frimpong’s former Leverkusen teammate Florian Wirtz is firmly in Liverpool’s sights too.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey recently spoke of a “huge summer” on the cards for Liverpool.
“In terms of their back line, Liverpool are looking to bring in a new left-back, a new centre-back, and maybe a right-back,” said Bailey.
“Further up the pitch, the Reds will be looking for a new striker, and then this creative player – maybe LW and CAM.
“What’s also interesting is that Liverpool want more from their midfield.
“A new No. 9 is one of the priorities, but they need to replace the creativity that they are losing in Trent and they are planning on that, as well as bolstering their defensive options.”
