Jeff Stelling names the only two Man United players who weren’t ‘awful’ vs Bournemouth

Jeff Stelling has claimed that there were only two Manchester United performances worth recognition against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Although Erik ten Hag’s side were able to secure a point, it ꦦwas another display that added fuel to the idea that he is no longer the right manager for the club.

Despite having some excellent players in the side, United were often overrun by Andoni Iraola’s Bourne♋mouth team.

Casemiro once again looked lost in the middle, a far cry from the player previously hailed as one of the best siꦗgnings in recent years.

It feels almost hard to believe that the Brazilian was previously the difference be𒊎tween United winning games or not, with the midfielder ꦿperhaps now contributing to that statistic in a less positive way.

United’s midfield looks lost, and many fear that this isn’t the right environment for Kobbie Mainoo to continue his progress.

All that being said, Jeff Stelling did think that two Manchester United players deserved to be separated from the widespread criticism𓄧 at the weekend.

Jeff Stelling says both Bruno Fernandes and Andre Onana deserved praise for United showing

Speaking on this morning, Stelling said that United were ‘pretty awful’ at Bournemouth except for two players, Bruno Fernandes and Andre Onana.

He explained: “I thought United were pretty awful with the exception of Bruno Fernandes, who I thought was outstanding and maybe does wear his heart on his sleeve too much and Onana෴… but the rest!”

Of course, Bruno’s match-saving display did actually seem to be born out of the attitude that Stel💦ling is referring to.

The United captain maintains incredibly high standards in every single game, and although he’s not a typical leader in terms of encouraging his teammates, he’s still doing an excellent job 🍌individually.

Perhaps Bruno isn’t the best choice United could have made in terms of their captaincy, but it’s hard to deny aไ player who’s been so loyal to them during a poor few years for the club.

That being said, it really is a positive to see Andre Onana’s improved Manchester United form continuing.

Onana is now looking lಌike the talent that starred at Ajax, even if the same can’t unfortunately be said for Ten Hag.

All that considered, Mica🌳h Richards has just disagreed with what he’s been hearing about United’s midfield right now.
