Jamie O’Hara says Myles Lewis-Skelly sending-off is ‘never ever a red card’
O’Hara was on Arsenal and Lewis-Skelly’s side ꧙of the debate, claiming on ♔X that it was “never ever a red card”.
Indeed, the former Spurs midfielder admit🧸ted that, while he’s all for Arsenal having a bad time, he t💎hinks it was one of the worst refereeing decisions he has ever seen.
I’m all for Arsenal having a beast𒐪 but that is never ever a red card, one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen 😩 Jheez lol

൲When questioned about his opinion by a fan, O’Hara explained how such fouls are commonplace, but they would normally be bookings rather than straight red cards.
O’Hara continued by saying he’d have understood had it been closer tꦜo the Arsenal goal or even near the halfway line, but not just outside the Gunners box.
Every si🅠ngle player makes a foul l𝕴ike that and takes a yellow card you can’t be getting sent off for that, it’s outrageous if it was close to Arsenal goal or even near the half way line I could maybe accept but that is a terrible decision

Wolves ended up getting a man sent off later on in the game, Joao Gomes being shown a second yellow after a dangerous challen🅘ge on Jurrien Timber.
Arsenal then took the lead in the 74th minute when Riccardꦍo Calafiori swept home after Nelson Se🐲medo failed to deal with Gabriel Martinelli’s cross.
Calafiori’s 🀅goal proved to be the winner as the Gunners held on for a 1-0 win in the West Midlands.

The referee’s call of a red card for Lewis-Skelly was checked and confirmed by VAR, who deemed his challenge to haveღ been serious 🦂foul play.
Former referee Mike Dean agreed withꩲ the PLMC’s opinion, telling that he can understand Oliver’s decision after seeing a stil🌳l image of the incident.
“I’ve got a still image,” he said. “If y♔ou see it, you can see why the referee has decided what he’s done. He’s put his studs down the inside of♔ his leg.
“Now I’ve seen the other image, you can see why he’s been sent of👍f.”
However, pundit Chris Sutton disagreed with the decision, calling it ✱a “shocker” borne of “total incompetence💟”.
