Italian club have now made approach to sign ‘fantastic’ Celtic player

Serie B side FC Como have reportedly made an approach to sign Celtic youngster Rocco Vata.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is regarded as one of the Hoops’ most exciting prospects, with Vata reportedly wanted by the likes of Inter Milan this January.

Having made just a handful of first-team appearances for Celtic, it is perhaps no real surprise why some top clubs are now looking to lure Vata away from Glasgow this month.

And , second-tier Italian side Como have made a move to sign Vata, with Welsh manager Osian Roberts keen to add to his side’s ranks.

Sat third in the division, Como have big dreams of returning to Serie A this season, and the likes of Vata could now be part I Lariani’s long-term vision.

, Como could be an appealing prospect for Vata, especially with the youngster yet to be fully promoted into the senior team.

Having failed to play a professional minute for the Hoops this season, Vata himself could be feeling that a move away from Celtic might be best for his career this month.

As we know, the young forward is a potential superstar in the making, and a move to Italy where Vata could become a regular is an alluring prospect for the teenager.

Moreover, should Como make an enticing offer, Celtic could be open to a sale, especially if Vata decides to push for a move to northern Italy in the coming days.
