It was on the cards for Tottenham to sign ‘special’ £50m Aston Villa player in June

Despite the good work Tottenham Hotspur have done in the transfer market this summer, some of the club’s supporters still feel slightly underwhelmed.

Ange Postecoglou has added both Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray to his Tottenham midfielꦚd, two excellent signings, players full of potential.

But at 18-years-old, neither will transform Spurs’ starting eleven immediately – even if G🐽ray will try his best to prove that sentence wrong.

The point is, Postecoglou is entering the new season without signiཧficant improvements to his team – a mana♏ger who wants Tottenham to compete for trophies immediately.

Postecoglou♊ has already warned Daniel Levy about Tottenam si🍒gning a forward, an additio🐠n he sees as vital for the new season.

And with just over two weeks until the Premier League begins, the window 🤡could start to get a bit frantic.

That being said, according to , Tottenham were on their way to wrapping up a deal for Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey at the end of June.

Tottenham had two opportunities to sign Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey for £50m

According to the report, Spurs gave a £50m move for Ramsey serious consideration last January amid Villa’s struggles with PS💖R.

And w♏hen the summer window opened, Tottenham were intent on reviving their interest, knowing that Villa would need to swiftly sell players.

Tottenh༒am e𝔉nvisioned swapping Giovani Lo Celso for Ramsey – a player who Unai Emery 💎is known to be a h🦩uge fan of.

However, Villa then remedied their PSR woes with deals elsewhere, selling the likes of Omari Kellyman and Douglasꦛ Luiz to Chelsea and Juventus respectively.

Therefore, it seems as if Levy missed the opportunity to sign ‘special’ Ramsey𒀰 for a cuꦇt price, even if £50m would still be an expensive deal.

But as we saw with Brennan Johnson’s transfer from Nottingham Forest, Levy will look to make the most of Spurs’ Premier League rivals when they are struggling fin♔ancially.

Although they’ll remain optimistic for the new season, Tottenham fans would likely be a lot happier with൩ a player like Ramsey added to their squad.

Postecoglou is already watching onℱe of his key Tottenham targets move elsewhere right now, and the mana𒁃ger will surely want to see his ambitions matched in swift fashion.
