Ipswich set to sign another player in addition to Jaden Philogene as £20m bid accepted

Ipswich are now likely to make another signing in addition to Jaden Philogene after a £20m bid was accepted.

The Tractor Boys have managed to convince the Hull No.23 to move to Portman Road ah🐼ead of Everton or Crystal Palace – with an £18m deal expected to go through once a medical is completed.

Now, Ipswich are set to bring another top talent to Portman Road as well as Jaden Philogene

Ipswich likely to sign Liam Delap

Simon Stone of BBC Sport has now revealed that Ipswich have seen a £20m bid accepted by Manchester City for Liam Delap.

Southampton have also had a £20m offer accepted.

However, Stone mentions th💮at Ipswich ♍are currently looking more likely to sign Delap ahead of the Saints.

The 21-year-old spent the 2023/24 campaign 🎃on loan at Hull, where he played alongside Philogene, scoring eight goals in 31 Championship appearances before 🅰a knee injury disturbed his progress.

It would be quite the coup for Kieran Mc﷽Kenna to sign Delap, as the England U21 international is very highly rated at th😼e Etihad Stadium.

The son of Rory Delap was even described as “the next Aguero🍃” by some Man꧃chester City fans back in 2021.

Kieran McKenna could create a deadly duo

Iꩲf Ipswich are successful ♚in reuniting Philogene and Delap this summer, McKenna could have a potentially brilliant duo on his hands.

The pair have already played gam💜es with each other at Hull and in the England U21 ranks, where they have combined to score four goals.

Philogene assisted three🍷 goals for Delap, while the striker from Winchester returned the favour with one assist for the winger.

Therefore, the Eജnglish duo should have a good understanding of how each other play, which serves up an exciting prospect for Ipswich if McKenna can help them showꦬ their talent in the Premier League.

That goes without mentioning the skills of Omari Hutchinson as well – in truth, the Tractor Boys could end up w🔥ith one of the best young attacking trid🅷ents England has to offer.
