Ian Wright left in awe of £15m player Arsenal made an enquiry to sign this summer
Although Arsenal improved their defence this summer, it doesn’t necessarily seem as if Edu’s work is finished on improving Mikel Arteta’s back line.
Riccardo Calafiori arrived this summer, an exceptional talent who should only get better at Arsenal.
In tandem, Jurrien Timber has also felt like a new signing in N5, a player who was😼 cruelly denied his debut season because of injury last term.
Incidentally, after his own minor issue, Riccardo Calafiori has retuꦺrned to Arsenal training 🌺– a big boost ahead of the Gunners facing Italian opposition.
That being said, in terms of Arsenal improving their squad beyond th𝓀is season, the club may still be in the market for another left-sided player, given their willingness to sell others.
Arsenal would have sold Kiwior for the right pric🅠e last month – a playerไ now on the periphery of things.
And to that end, Arsenal also wa📖nted to sell Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinche🌠nko.
Ian Wright seriously impressed by Murillo after Arsenal enquiry this summer
Speaking on the ‘’ podcast, Ian Wright has now been complementing Nottingham Forest defender Murillo after his brilliant performance away at Anfield.
His praise is particularly interesting considering Arsenal made an enquiry to sign Murillo this summer, a move that p🙈receded their bid for Calafiori.

And given those that may depart listed above, it’s not necessarily impossible that the Gunners will make anothᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚer move in the future.
Wright said: “The way 𝓀they defended , you know, he’s getting to be one of my favourite players to watch, Murillo at the🀅 back for Forest.
“He’s so good, he’s so good on the ball. He’s passing out of defence, he’s very goodღ.”
Murillo cost Forest back in August💮 of last year, a player who may now📖 even cost more than triple that fee after his debut season in England.
Murillo could be open to Forest exit
Should 🍨Arsenal return for the Brazilian in the future, they might be i𝐆n luck.
Murillo was very honest about his future when asked earlier this summer,🙈 suggesting that he would be prepared to leave for the right opportunit🅺y.
Murillo sa💟id: “I’ve received a few offers. Some officialꦯ, others sounding out. I’ll take it up with my manager.
“They were clubs from England, Italy and Germany.
“If I stay at Nottingham, I’ll do my best. If I leave, I hope they respect my dec♛ision. I’m calm and analysing it in the best way.”
An interesting p༒layer and perhaps someone who could continue to improve Arteta’s squad in💦 north London.
