Ian Wright and Don Hutchison deliver emphatic verdicts on Raul Jimenez assist in Fulham loss at Manchester City
Fulham had the unenviable task of trying to get a result away at Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
🏅The Cottagers gave a good account of themselves, opening the scoring at the Etihad Stadium and going on to score another.
Though Man City ultimately ran out 3-2 winners over Fulhamꦅ, one player did something that could well make the end-of-season highlight reels.
Andreas Pereira opened the scoring for Fulham in the 26th minute, finishing off a simply sumptuous backheel from Raul Jimenez.
Pundits Ian Wright and Don Hutchisonꦑ were both blown away by what they had seen from the forward.

Raul Jimenez delivers ‘assist of the season’ for Fulham at Man City
♓Wright said, as per the : “Fantastic goal. This could be the assist of the season, that is amazing.
💃“Just getting it back into the danger area, that’s his [Jimenez] awareness there. Fulham deserved it.”
ไHutchison, meanwhile, said: “Well I’m going early; that might be the best assist I’ve ever seen in the Premier League.
🌃“He had no right, Raul Jimenez, to back heel that into the stride of Pereira. The easy part of that move is the finish.”

Fulham can hold heads high after solid display at Man City
🅘Mateo Kovacic struck the equaliser in the 32nd minute, not long after Adama Traore missed a superb opportunity to double Fulham’s lead.
🍰Kovacic then scored again for Man City just after the break before Jeremy Doku put the hosts out of sight with a superb effort in the 82nd minute.
🥃However, Fulham made it a nervy finish for Man City as Rodrigo Muniz had plenty of time to control the ball and fire past Ederson two minutes from time.
ꦆAlthough the Cottagers will wonder how the game might have panned out had Traore scored, they’ll take heart from this performance, showing they can give the champions a real fright.
