Ian Holloway thinks Arsenal should have signed Gary Cahill in the summer

on Monday morning (8.14am), that Arsenal should have signed Gary Cahill on a free transfe🅷r from Chelsea in the summer – as🐼 well as David Luiz.

Cahill, 33, was a free agent in the summer after the former Blues skipper was released by the west London club – after clocking up 290 appearances for Chelsea and winning two Premier League titles and 🧜a Champions League medal🐈 at Stamford Bridge.

The commanding defender went throughout the majority of the summer without a club before Roy Hodgson reunited himself with his former England star, by bringing him to Crystal Palace. He has impressed at Selhurs🥂t Park since.

Former Premier League manager Holloway believes bringi🍌ng in 61-time England international Cahill in the summer would have shored up Arsenal’s leaky defence – which have so far kept just two Premier League clean sheets all season.

“If you got [Gary] Cahill on a free and David Luiz, that wℱould have done it. That ꩵwould have solved their defensive issues,”
