I saw ‘magnificent’ Tottenham player prove yet again he’ll be their biggest ever sale v Chelsea
Tottenham might have lost against Chelsea but one of their players very much proved he is going to go onto bigger and better things at some point.
ꩵWhile that might sound disrespectful to Tottenham, they are going nowhere fast under Ange Postecoglou and there are bigger steps to take for certain players in the future.
💫Of course, a 4-3 defeat to Chelsea is never the ideal time to win an abundance of praise.
But Tottenham were also 2-0 up in the game at one point and key to that opening 30 minutes was the performance of Swedish winger, Dejan Kulusevski.
Gary Neville has suggested Kulusevski is good enough for Real Madrid▨ and based on his form this season, it’s a solid enough prediction.
💦And against Chelsea today, Kulusevski very much showed his ability.

Dejan Kulusevski impresses against Chelsea
ꦉWhile the base line stats might not identify and all-time performance from Kulusevski, he did get his goal and for 45 minutes at least, he was a massive threat for Chelsea.
𓆉Marc Cucurella, for one, had a nightmare against him as he constantly slipped due to Kulusevski’s quick feet and speed.
ꦓFurthermore, only Pedro Porro put in more crosses for Spurs in the game, while Kulusevski also drew the most fouls for Spurs in the game.
Dejan Kulusevski stats v Chelsea |
1 goal |
3 successful crosses |
3 fouls won |
75% pass accuracy |
Tottenham will sell Kulusevski for a club-record fee
💖With his performance against Chelsea, Kulusevski made it three goals and seven assists for the season and it is clear he’s going to get a big move at some point if he continues to develop.
Ange Postecoglou has spoken of Kulusevski 🤪getting even better in the future and ultimately, that will lead to a big sale if Daniel Levy is in charge.
🏅At the moment, Tottenham’s record sale is that of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, while Harry Kane comes along in second at around the £85m mark.
꧂If Kulusevski continues on his current trajectory and with modern prices, then Tottenham could well fetch more than they got for Bale if they do eventually sell.
