‘I heard this week’: Journalist shares how Tottenham really feel about Todd Kline going to Chelsea
There was a bit of a backroom shake-up at Tottenham recently as Todd Kline was placed on Gardening Leave.
Kline was Spurs’ Chief Commercial Officer, meaning he dealt with many of the boring parts of running a footbꦑall club – sponsorship deals, branding, naming rights and so on.
Of course, all of those things may sound a bit dull to the average ꧒fan, but they’re very important parts of running a club.
Kline will be leaving Spurs to join Chelsea in the summer.
Speaking on , Charlie Eccleshare has shared some insight into Kline’s departure, and he says that those within Spurs aren’t too fussed about the fact Kline is le♛aving, with Eꦚccleshare previously hearing that all was not well in his department in any case.

Spurs not fussed about Todd Kline leaving
Eccleshare shared what he knows about this si🔯tuation.
“I did a big piece on the unrest at Spurs last April and he didn’t come out of it very well. Anyone can read that piece, it’s out there, the sense wa⭕s that there was a lot of unrest in his department and🌠 the noises I heard this week again echoed that really, they didn’t feel it was a great loss to Tottenham,” Eccleshare said.
No big deal
This won’t be a massive loss to Tottenham.
Yes, Kline may beཧ very good at what he does, but at the end of the day, brokering commercial deals for one of the biggest Premier League football clubs in the worl🎐d should be a doddle.
There’s a whole host of potential sponsors and branding partners who would happily comꦍe on board as sponsors, and, with all due res🔯pect, you don’t need to be the greatest business mind in the world to help Spurs find someone willing to act as a sponsor or a partner.
This is obviously a♏n important role, but it’s n✅ot as if Kline is the only person in the world capable of doing it.
