Paul Robinson says Timo Werner did something for Tottenham v Man City he’s ‘never seen’ before
Tottenham absolutely smashed their way past Manchester City to complete a memorable evening at The Etihad and breathe new life into their season overall.
A double from James Maddison, followed by goals from Pedro Porro and Brennan Johnson ensur♎ed Spurs won with ease and piled further misery o👍n Pep Guardiola’s outfit.
Of course, there were some standout performances across the pitch from Tottenham, with Dejan Kulusevski among those to impress.
However, it was a squad effort, and one member of the squad who came off the bench to play his part was German forward, Timo Werner.
Werner set up the fourth fo﷽r Johnson and in watching him do so, former Tottenham stopper Paul Robinson said he was stunned by what he saw.

Timo Werner shocks everyone with Kyle Walker moment at Man City
Speaking on the game foܫr the , former Spurs goalkeeper Robinson admitted to being blown away by ho🥃w Werner got away from Kyle Walker to lay on Tottenham’s fourth.
“I have never seen anyone run past Kyle Walker like that, Timo Werner turned on the af🅰terburners,” Robinson s📖aid.
“Brennan Johnson has the easiest of tasks. S﷽purs fans a🐽re having an absolute party.”
A turning point for Timo Werner?
Make no mistake, Timo Werner has been disappointing in the main for Tottenham and continues to look like a 𒆙player who has lost all confidence in front of goal.
However, his ꦗlittle cameo tonight and the way he burst past Walker and set Johnson up𓆉 might well give him a timely boost.
For Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou, it would be nic🦩e to know that when t🌸hey do turn to Werner he can deliver and this might be a turning point.
Werner can be a really effective player, he’s just not shown it enough. Now, though, is a chanc💯e for him to really step up and produce and hopefully, for Spurs fans anyway, his time is now coming.
