Michael Owen delivers damning Rasmus Hojlund verdict after seeing him for Man United v Wolves

Manchester United’s season is just going from bad to worse and the expected uptick in results under Ruben Amorim has just not materialised for the club.

After losing to Wolves, United are way down in 14th place in the table, a whopping 20 points off Liverpool at the top and just eight clear of the bott♌om three.

For Ruben Amorim, there is so much to ඣwork on that he pಞrobably doesn’t even know where to start.

However, one area of the field he could do with getting more out of is the final third and in particular, from striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund was a peripheral figure against Wolܫves♑ as he struggled to get into the game.

But according to Michael Owen, there’s more to it than just Hojlund bein🎐g poor and right now, Owen admitted he feels a bit sorry for the young striker.

Why Michael Owen feels sorry for Rasmus Hojlund

🐼Speaking for , Owen admitted he’d been watching Hojlund closely in the fir♈st half against Wolves.

And according to Owen, the young striker is facing a t♏hankless task right now as Uni🍬ted’s number nine.

“You want your best plꦗayers on the ball. I’ve sat here and watched Hojlund all first half, and I don’t k🔯now what I’d do if I was him at the moment,” Owen said.

“Centre-forward for Manchester United, you get so many chances it’s impossible not to score, but he had six passes in that first half, four by defe🐷nders. It’s the hardest position at the moment.

“The team is just not functioning well enough to get h💖im any service. He’s been there over a year🉐 now.”

Ruben Amorim should stick with Rasmus Hojlund over a long period

It’s good of Michael Owen to bring this up and he ༒is right. Rasmus Hojlund is basically feeding off scraps and right now, he can do little more.

Over the longer-term, it might make him a better player though and he needs to hope Ruben Amorim sticks with him, r♐ather than chopping and changing him with Joshua Zirkzee.

Indeed, Martin Odegaard haℱs claimed he’d like to play with Hojlund – which is high praise indeed – while Owen Hargreaves has said Hojlund is the best option right now for United.

Whether 💧or not Amorim brings another forward in, remains to be seen. But for Hojlund, it’s very much a big learning curve right now in a difficult period.
