How much Arsenal can now sign Ivan Toney for this week as asking price drops
Arsenal are set for a hectic final week of the transfer window, with Ivan Toney one of the many attackers the Gunners have been linked with.
The Brentford striker is expected to depart the west London side this summer with Toney linked with Arsenal in recent weeks, with Tottenham also believed to be interested in signing the England international.
With a move to Saudi Arabia also on the cards for Toney, there’s a real chance that the centre-forward’s future will finally be resolved in the coming days, with Arsenal still in the market for a new striker having failed to bring in an attacker this summer.
And Brentford might have handed the Gunners an incentive to move for Toney.

Brentford drop Toney’s asking price down to £40m after Arsenal links
According to , the Bees have lowered their demands for Toney to as low as £40m, with the report stating that Al-Ahli remain in talks to convince the 28-year-old forward to make the move to the Middle East.
With Gary Neville tipping Toney to stay in the Premier League, news of Brentford dropping their asking price for Toney could be an appealing update for the likes of Arsenal, who made signing a striker a priority this month.
Indeed, Toney is one of the best goalscorers in the Premier League and is a player who would be welcome at the majority of clubs in the division based on his record over the years.
However, for Arsenal, even with Toney’s asking price dropping to £40m, a move for the striker might be a bad idea, especially with what the Gunners are looking for ina new attacking signing this summer.

Arsenal know they can do better than Toney this summer
With Eddie Nketiah and Fabio Vieira set to leave Arsenal before Friday’s deadline, Arsenal know they need to bring in an attacker to help flesh out the forward options in the squad.
And whilst Toney has the numbers to backup his claim of winning a move to Arsenal, the Gunners know they can do a lot better than the England international in the market.
At 28-years-old and with a reputation, there are better options out there for Arsenal when it comes to signing a new forward, and Toney might only be considered as a last resort come Friday’s deadline.
