How Arsenal feel about signing Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig after holding talks
In their search for a new striker, Arsenal have now accepted that it won’t be possible to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig this month, TBR Football exclusively understands.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, Leipzig’s stance on Sesko𝕴 remains unchanged in regards to a possible January deal with the Gunners.
🔯So far this season, Sesko has netted 14 goals in 27 games, the kind of numbers that Mikel Arteta would love to add to his squad for the remainder of the season.
📖But with Jurgen Klopp at the helm, Leipzig are determined to keep hold of their star striker, who is making good progress in the Bundesliga.
Arsenal still planning Benjamin Sesko pursuit despite January disappointment
That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Baileyﷺ understands that Sesko remains one of Arsenal’s main attacking targets going forward.
♌It’s understood that if Arsenal could have their pick of any striker it would be either Sesko or Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
♊However, neither player is available to the Gunners this month.

🌼Likewise, Arsenal will continue to chase Sesko’s signature beyond January, and the question was asked of Leipzig this month, but the Bundesliga side do not intend to let him leave.
൩After holding talks, the Gunners have accepted that it is not possible to land Sesko this month, as is the same with Isak.
Jhon Duran has admirers at the Emirates Stadium
🍌Arsenal’s decision-makers do believe that there is room for another forward at the club this month but they don’t want to sign a player who doesn’t fit their long-term vision.
꧂Brentford duo Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa are both players they like, but neither are available.
෴Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic is a player who the club have long-term admiration for, but they have not looked to pursue the player as of yet this month – but there is a possibility of the Serbian being available.
♑Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran is deemed unavailable, but he does have some admirers within the Emirates.
TBR exclusively shared that West Ham failed with a bid for Duran♈ in recent weeks, a player who is attracting a lot of interest.
And in addition to the names mentioned, Arsenal have been offered three more strikersꦯ, but it remains to be seen if the club will sanction a deal before the deadline.
