‘He’s rapid’: Seamus Coleman says 23-year-old is actually the fastest player at Everton

♛Seamus Coleman that Ben Godfrey is the fastest player at the club.
Quickest at the club
🍃Godfrey is yet to actually feature at Everton under Rafael Benitez.
🧜However, there are high hopes about the 23-year-old at Goodison Park.
🦂And Coleman believes that his pace is a major asset, as he is actually quicker than Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
ꦚ“I would say Ben Godfrey. It’s probably close between him and Calvert-Lewin in all honesty. But when Ben gets going he’s rapid. I’d say Ben,” Coleman said.
꧂Everton’s players were actually all asked who they felt was the quickest on their team, and Godfrey was a very popular answer.
Rapid pace

𓆉His pace means that he is capable of playing at both right-back and in the centre of defence.
ꦜGodfrey is also very comfortable in possession and those two qualities give him an armoury of skills which are very valuable in modern day football.
♐Everton are next in action against Burnley on Monday evening, but it remains to be seen whether Godfrey will feature in that contest.
꧑It seems unlikely that Benitez will be wanting to make major changes to his defence after his side’s impressive start to the season.
ღHowever, Godfrey may have some hope of being back and fit enough to make his way on to the bench.
