‘He’s a monster’… Alfie Whiteman says £75,000-a-week Tottenham player is scary in the gym
Fraser Forster isn’t necessarily the first person you think of when you think about the top performers in this Tottenham team.
The second-string goalkeeper barely gets a game for Spurs, and while he doesn’t make much of an impact on the pitch, it sounds as though he is indeed an important figure behind the scenes.
Indeed, we’ve heard on numerous occasions just how positive, friendly and welcoming Forster is at Spurs, particularly with new signings, and now, speaking on the , Alfie Whiteman has been discussing what Forster is like behind the scenes.
According to Whiteman, Forster is incredibly friendly as a person, but he’s also one of the hardest working trainers at the club, claiming that he is a monster in the gym.

Fraser Forster is a monster in the gym
Whiteman spoke about the goalkeeper.
“Everyone talks about how Fraser trains, he’s like a monster ain’t he? Whiteman was asked.
“He’s a monster with everything. In the gym, as a professional, but he’s the Big Friendly Giant, he’s the nicest and sweetest person I know,” Whiteman said.
Pushing
Forster may never be Spurs’ number one goalkeeper, but it sounds as though he’s doing all he can to push Guglielmo Vicario to his absolute limit.
Indeed, Forster is working as hard as he can behind the scenes, and that means that Vicario can’t, for a single second, allow his standards to slip.
Vicario has been brilliant for Tottenham so far, and perhaps there is something to be said for Forster’s work alongside the Italian in training forcing him to play to such a level.
The role of a number two goalkeeper isn’t at all glamourous it must be said, but Forster is doing all that is asked of him at Tottenham to the highest standard possible.
Forster may not be a key player for Tottenham, but make no mistake about it, he’s playing his part at Hotspur Way.
