Pundit says Arsenal have a ‘brilliant’ youngster whose passing has really impressed him in pre-season
Arsenal’s pre-season is well underway and with a game against Manchester United this weekend it’s another chance for some younger players to impress.
The Gunners have travelled to the USA once more and after playing against Bournemouth already and winning out on penalties, they’ll be keen to see of United on Sunday.
For Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, these pre-season tours are often a chance to take a really close look at some of the youngsters at the club.
Against Bournemouth, Arteta started a few of them as well, with the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelley and goalkeeper, Karl Hein, getting their chance.
But while those three names are well known to Arsenal fans, another youngster, Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand, was also handed a chance to impress.
A young attacking midfielder, Salah-Eddine played the opening 45 minutes alongside Thomas Partey and Ethan Nwaneri in midfield.
And watching on from afar, TalkSPORT pundit Perry Groves has lauded the performance of Salah-Eddine.

Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand impresses for Arsenal in pre-season
Speaking on about the win over Bournemouth on penalties, former Gunner and fan favourite Perry Groves lauded the impression of Salah-Eddine.
“Arsenal played well in the first half. When you’re watching these pre-season games you know you’re going to get some younger players in the squad because of the Euros, people are resting,” Groves commented.
“And there was a lad last night, Salah-Eddine, who played for Arsenal in midfield just in front of Thomas Partey. And I know he only played 45 minutes. But he was quality.
“You think right, Arteta’s looking at these younger players to think right: can you make that step up?
“How are you going to be? Are you going to be nervous? Are you going to go and accept the ball in tight areas? Brilliant balance. Brilliant passing. And he came off after 45 minutes.”
Still only 20, Salah-Eddine will be hoping to utilise pre-season and the pending departures of a few players to land a more regular squad place.
Emile Smith Rowe is set to depart, while Reiss Nelson could also move on to Leicester City.
Salah-Eddine, then, could have a big chance this season to really cement himself.
