Harvey Elliott shares what Arne Slot told him to do before coming on at half-time in Liverpool’s win against Lille

Liverpool extended their perfect record in the Champions League this season with a 2-1 win over LOSC Lille at Anfield on Tuesday evening.

Arne Slot made a few changes to his Liverpool side amid a busy schedule, with Darwin Nunez the headline addition to his 💮side up top.

Nunez changed the game and won Slot three points against Brentford, scoring twice off of the♓ bench.

Of course, it should be mentioned that Harvey Elliott was🎐 also instrumental to that win in London, coming on in the 80th minute for Dominik Szoboszlai.

Elliott has been linked with a Liverpool exit recently,𝐆 but it’s become very clear that the 21-year-old has his ♒heart set on a long-term future at Anfield, something Slot will welcome.

He said: “[At full-time] We have a little debrief. He waits for ever🥀yone to settle down, especially after 🅘a win, emotions are high, people are messing around and things like that.

“We have a two-fiv🥃e minute debrief about things we’ve done well and things we can improve on but th🌱e main debrief will be tomorrow.”

Arne Slot continues Liverpool’s perfect Champions League record

Lille striker Jonathan David was very cܫomplimentary aboꦦut Liverpool after the game, prais🐭e that was well deserved for a side who have won seven out of seven.

Only Barcelona can now deny Liverpool to🐓p spot heading into the final match day of the new league phase of the competition.

Slot’s side🅘 face a trꦑip to PSV Eindhoven whereas Barcelona are at home to Atalanta next Wednesday.

All final games kick off at the same time, and both sides will surely be expecting to win, even 💛if they are on𓆏ce again facing tricky opposition.

And as the season goes on, Elliott himself will hope to have more and more impact, a midfielder who evidently has so much 🍬potential, and may even be eyeing a regular spot for England.
