Harry Cornick points out Leeds United’s massive behind closed doors disadvantage
Luton Town striker Harry Cornick has explained to the press how Leeds United’s lack of fans at Elland Road helped the Hatters in their fixture against ꦆthe Championship leaders at the weekend.
Leeds United drew 1-1 with the relegation battlers after Stuart Dallas scored an equalising goal in the secon𒀰d-half of a disappointing d♚isplay for the Whites.
Cornick gave Luton a 1-0 lead with a sublime finish but there was nobody🃏 in Ellan💯d Road to be stunned into silence.
Leeds United’s usually vociferous fan support is not in attendance, owing to the global h꧋ealth crisis.
, Cornick explained how the lack of fans at Elland Road helped take the edge ♓off of Leeds United’s fear factor for the basement club.
“It’s a bit annoying playing with no fans, but it’s just what we’ve got to do these days, we’ve got to get on with it.
“It’s tough with the no crowd, it’s not as hard because if you came to Elland Road and there was however many fans here chanting Leeds’ name, then it’s harder.
“We know that, as we play at Kenilworth Road and we know how hard it is for teams to come there.”
There♎’s no doubt that not having the Leeds United fans in attendance might have taken away an edge that the Whites might have in their remaining home ga❀mes.
However, there is a school of t✱hought that the lack of nervous energy sometimes caused by the Leeds United fans, especially at this stage of the season.
