‘Great news’… Brendan Rodgers says 26-year-old Celtic player is ‘fit and healthy’ ahead of Hibs game

Back to domestic action, Celtic now look to travel to Easter Road to pick up three points and extend their lead at the top of the table.

Brendan Rodgers has never won at the Leith ground as a Celtic manager an🍸d he will be hoping to break that hoodoo tonight.

The Celtic manager has delivered a boost to the Celtic fans ahead of the match where he discussed the condition of ‘electric‘ winger, Daizen Maeda.

The 26-year-old has been on internati🌌onal duty with Japan in the Asia Cup and after over a month away, Celtic fans were probably fearing that he may not be fit enough to play tonight.

🌊But Rodgers has allayed those fears with this brilliant update on the winger.

Rodgers said [], “Injury wise, nobody is back from injury but in terms of Daizen Maeda baꦕck, which is great news, he’s fit and healthy.”

Daizen Maeda is so vital for Celtic

The Japanese winger has been a brilliant signing for Celtic since he joined back in January 2022. The £1.5m signing from Yokohama F Marinos has been𝓡 a mainstay in the first team.

In 93 appearances, Maeda has scored 22 goals and created 15 and in seven appearances against Hibs, heﷺ has been on the winn൲ing side on four occasions hitting the back of the net three times. []

Indeed, his first Celtic goal came in his debut against the capital club in the 2-0 Parkhead win on the 17th of January 2🌠022.

Maeda seems to have a knack for puttingꩵ Hibs 𓆏to the sword and the Celtic fans will be hoping that the Japanese winger will be starting tonight.

The pressure is on Celtic to get a result tonight, especially after Rangers’ 2-1 win over Aberdeen last night. With 14 games to go in the title race, every win is crucial as Rodgers looks to get another crack at the Champions League next season.

In other news, Celtic could solve their left-back issue by signing 25-year-old player Ronny D꧅eila called ‘incredible’
