Graeme Souness predicts Diogo Jota could displace Roberto Firmino for Liverpool
Sky Sp🔜orts pundit Graeme Souness believes Roberto Firmino is in danger of being displaced by Diogo Jota.
The Portuguese made an impact off the bench for the Reds once again ♍yesterday, scoring a late goal against West Ham United to seal three points with a 2-1 victory.
It’s been a brilliant start for the winger since joining in a deal that could eventually reach £45 mill🍎ion ().
Jo꧑ta has really looked live🌠ly and been knocking on the door to start games.
There was a bit of surprise that he didn’t start against the Hammers, but Souness bಌelieves he co🐠uld now be set for a run in the side.
He said on Sky Sports yesterday (): “I would imagine pretty 📖quickly he will be challenging Firmino for a 🅰starting spot.
“Why not? He’s got goals, he got a goal in what every three games at Wolves. And now he’s in a better team so that should improve. I like him a🥃 lot, 23 years old, he can only do better.”
While £29 million star Firmino () is adored by Klopp, the ꦛstriker has contributed just one goal and two assists this season.
TBR’s View – Firmino has got to improve
Firmino ha🎀sn’t been bad, but there is definitely room for improvement.
Things are perhaps 𓆉made to seem worse than they are due to the form of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah, but F𝓡irmino could do with stepping things up.
Jota is in a great moment right now, and is definitely in c🦹ontention to b𒁃e starting.
Klopp has always been so loyal to Firmino, but that loyalty is surely be🌟ing tested at theꦑ minute.
