‘He makes them tick’: Hoddle thinks Howe has told one Newcastle player he’s his main man
Newcastle United enjoyed another g꧑ood weekend in the Premier League as they took a point off West Ham United 💫on Saturday afternoon.
A goal from Craig Dawson had gi♋ven the Hammers the lead, but Newcastle fought back into the game in typical fashion of late as Joe Willock scrambled a finish home to ensure a share of the spoils.

For Newcastle, their form of late is far from that of a team who will be relegated. New manager Eddie Ho꧅we seems to have got his methods across and the Toon players are responding. And according to Glenn Hoddle, midfielder Jonjo Shelvey looks like he’s been given the special treatment from Howe.
“For me, I think he’s sat Shelvey down and ꧅said to him, you’re my cup of tea. You weren’t other manager’s cups of tea fair enough, but you’re a footballer𒁏 and I want footballers in my midfielder”, Hoddle told .
“But you do need to be responsible in that position. He’s the one for me that has changed that team. He makes them tick and he’s a good footballer a🐎nd theyꩲ look a team now, they really do.”
TBR’s View: Shelvey A Shining Light For Newcastle
Hoddle makes a great point here about Jonjo Shelvey. At a time when some players might have shirked the challenge of 🐻new faces arriving on big money, Shelvey has stepped up.
He has been massive in recent weeks and looks every bit the player many thought he woul⛄d be when he emerged as a youngster. Shelvey is now key for Newcastle, and the lꦦonger he stays fit, the better for Eddie Howe.
